Objectives of the Project:
1. To provide resources and support for female-headed households in Kilinochchi to
improve their psychosocial well-being.
2. To strengthen social networks and increase economic opportunities for female-headed
households in Kilinochchi by establishing support groups and forums, implementing
mentoring programs, offering skills training, and connecting them to local resources and
business partnerships.
3. To improve the economic resilience and empowerment of female-headed households in
Kilinochchi by providing livelihood-in-kind assistance to 40 selected beneficiaries
through livelihood vulnerability assessments and follow-up visits.
Target Group / Direct Beneficiaries:
Psychosocially affected women.
Final Beneficiaries:
Female-headed households in Kilinochchi District.
Expected Long-Term Impacts:
The project aims to achieve sustainable psychosocial well-being and socio-economic
development for female-headed households in Kilinochchi. By increasing access to resources
and enhancing skills for economic self-sufficiency, the initiative will foster greater economic
resilience and empowerment. This includes strengthening their role in decision-making processes and enabling active participation in economic activities, contributing to long-term community development and stability.
